RAID TIME! A different perspective in Global Agenda

Global Agenda, I know that the majority of people around here are very familiar with raids, some of you love to raid all the time, I know some people who wake up and raid, at lunch they do more raiding, when they get home they keep raiding, and before bed they do another raid. Other players on the other hand rarely do a raid, there is a lot of reasons to avoid raiding at all (One of them is the lack of time).

From time to time some developers dare to change things for the sake of improvement , innovation or just to chill out. The developers of Global Agenda (Hi-Rez) decided to add in a patch some time ago a game type called ‘Raid’. I have to be honest people, Global Agenda Credits this thing really rocks, I can't get enough of it, I even feel the urges of getting back into GA and wait for another ‘raid’ event, brb…

Let me tell you a bit about this event, Raids in Global Agenda open up for the players every 60 to 90 minutes, once the raid is available some sirens will go red in the city and the option “RAID” appears on the mission window for some time, after a while everything goes cool. The background story is that Dome City, the last free city in the world is under attack by some bad guys. (A big horde of psychopath droids). Apparently they are trying to take over some resources or installations necessary for the functionality of the city and is up to you and your teammates to defend this assets, otherwise your beloved ‘Dome City’ won’t be able to keep running.

These Raids are 10 players instanced missions for level 30+ characters, instead of organizing your own team, there is a group organizer in the game that automatically sets up the 10 players based on their character class, (matchmaking). I know some people don’t like PUGs, but sometimes a PUG is even better than expending a lot of time looking for the right people, expend one hour convincing them of using X build and then fail the raid anyways because something went wrong or someone simply disconnected or rage quitted.
